Question:

Around how much DPS is needed with 7 damage dealers in the Malygos Spark Phase in Normal?

Note: Assume 1000 DPS for the tank.

Answer:

Malygos Life in Normal Raid = 6,900,000

Malygos Life at 50% = 6,900,000 / 2 = 3,450,000

3 minutes = 180 seconds

Assuming 1000 Tank DPS, then total tank damage output in 180 seconds is 180,000.

3,450,000 - 180,000 = 3,270,000

Total DPS required in 180 seconds is 3,270,000 / 180 = 18,166.67 DPS

Assuming 7 damage dealers thats 18,166.67 / 7 = 2595.24 DPS per damage dealer.

Some other Calculations:

Assume 1500 DPS.

• If 1 Spark = 150% damage increase, then DPS is 1500 x (1.5) = 2250 DPS when standing on 1 spark.

• If 2 Sparks stack then total damage increase is 150% x 150% = 225%, and DPS is 1500 x (2.25) = 3375 DPS when standing on 2 sparks.

• If 3 Sparks stack then total damage increase is 225% x 150% ~ 337%, and DPS is ~ 1500 x (3.37) ~ 5062 DPS when standing on 3 sparks.

This is a recommended ability rotation for the Aces High Daily.

Before Engaging the Enemy

1. Build Revivify to 5 stacks.  [Hit '3' x 5]

Engaging the Enemy

1. Target the enemy.
2. Refresh Revivify(5) buff to 10 seconds. [Hit '3']
3. Hit target with Flame Spike to build 1 combo point. [Hit '1']
4. Hit target with another Flame Spike to build 2 combo points. [Hit '1']
5. Hit target with another Flame Spike to build 3 combo points. [Hit '1']
6. Wait for Revivify(5) buff time remaining to drop to 2 secs or 1 sec.
7. Hit target with Engulf in Flames. [Hit '2']
8. Refresh Revivify(5) buff to 10 seconds. [Hit '3']
9. Go back to Step (3) above and repeat Steps (3) to (8) until the enemy is dead..

If enemy starts casting Arcane/Power Surge during the above rotation do not panic.  You must stop the rotation above and do the following instructions instead:
