§ Players do come and go. Players evolve, guilds evolve too and /gquit is part of the game. Even guildies who have been with us for long since day one can still one day find themselves not happy with the guild anymore. Should they wish to make any changes to their wow life, it's ultimately up to them. It may be sad but there is no need to dwell on the sadness. If we take every gquit so seriously, we will go stark raving mad. Eraption is not the only guild who experiences this. As most of you are transfers yourselves, you may have transferred guild few times too. It's like work sometimes. You may leave a work because you want a better-paying job or you don't like your office mates or your boss, or you prefer a workplace that’s more convenient. It’s a slew of so many things that even guild officers cannot and will not be able to control.
§ You can’t have everything in just one bowl. Not all Pinoy players are destined to play in just one guild. Some Filipinos don’t even like to play with an exclusive Pinoy guild. Some even don’t just mix so well too. I, myself, admittedly know a handful of Pinoy players in the server whom I don’t want to raid with. We simply just don’t “click”. We may be all Pinoy but we’re all completely different persons too. Why are you not friends with everyone in your school, or office, or village? It's the same reason why some Pinoys are in different guilds.
§ Guild officers are like statesmen - they always get criticized. They cannot please and gratify everyone and will always bear the brunt of unsatisfied constituents - and there will always be a disgruntled player. For example, if there are 14 players online who can make up a 10-man raid, four players will not be able to join inevitably as there is an excess of four. Officers have to make the difficult choice in telling the 4 that they can’t come, or perhaps asking if anyone from the 14 wants to give up their spot. Either way, one of those players will think he/she deserves the spot better than the others and most of them would never ever volunteer to give up their slot. At the end of the day, it’s still the guild officer’s wrongdoing and fault no matter who he chooses to bench as if it's his fault that all 14 are online at the same time. And for those who were not able to join, they will start grumbling and accuse that officers have "favorites" and "inner circle". Those malcontents will always shoot the blame on them. This is sad but so true.
§ Learn to take this game casually. If there’s anyone who would be most affected by all sorts of criticisms, complaints, and accusations against the officers, I would be one of them. But I have learned to put my faith on the good of humanity and trust that all these unfounded disparagement will be gone with the wind immediately. Complaints and accusations are there cause they only want to view the issue in their perspective. Showing to them the other side is futile. And so I have learned to just laugh at all these and agree to disagree to end the story. After all, it is still and only just a game. As the saying goes, just take a chill pill.
§ Develop true friendship for this game will not last but person behind the avatar will. I have been playing this game for 1.5 years now and I am really glad to know few great people whom I know I will still continue to get in touch with even if I stop playing this game. Give people respect and kindness. Gaining a friend will give you a better euphoria than winning loot or earning those emblems.
Time will come we will all just have a good laugh while we reminisce crazy things that happened while playing this game but it’s such a wonderful thought that we graduated from the game with the medal of friendship and true friends to share what matters more in real life.
